Michael Truesday, aka Stone Tactical - an Earther super, is continuing his fight against the pedophiles aiming for world domination known as The Society. Now that he's found his father, it's time to take on the corrupt trustees of his two billion dollar inheritance from his mother, but The Society isn't about to let go of that money without a fight. They seem to think a thirteen year old from the Baltimore foster system and a Native American lawyer from Montana can't be a threat, which is just fine with the boy genius and former Delta Force soldier. It would be simpler for Mike to take out the men who abused his mother with his superpowers from a distance, but he prefers to tear them apart financially, socially, and politically so he can watch them suffer for decades.

The Junior Super Corps are mostly in the background in this second book as Mike concentrates on the court cases and managing his new fortune. All they know are the words each super hears as they acquire their powers; the Storm is coming! So Mike continues to practice and grow his powers despite it being illegal to train powers in the United States as well as using his new money to start preparing as many contingencies as he can for his new found family in Montana. He slips up a few times and just has to hope no one reports how powerful he is becoming to the government although he's fairly certain he could take down the other supers on his own.

The sociopolitical commentary has moved on from the harsh realities facing foster children to how we tend to inherit opinions and politics from our families without properly examining the issues for ourselves. Mike is particularly scathing towards The Left and points out that too often criticizing someone belonging to a minority is automatically denounced as prejudice. Insult me and you could be labeled as a misogynistic ableist! The authors remind us that most people have some aspect to their situation or background that could be considered "vulnerable" and when everyone is special no one is special. Seriously though, I noticed this occurring in the news this past year as well as encountering cases of opinions based upon social media rather than facts or logic and I'm sure I've got my own blind spots. After all, we can't all be thirteen year old socioeconomic geniuses who take classes in astrophysics for fun.

Sadly this series is still not available on Audible but it's available from multiple vendors as physical or e-books.
